Wouldn't you like to learn about yoga, pilates, and strength training in a safe, comfortable place...like your living room? You can with my easy-to-follow guides to fitness. All of my fitness books explain the benefits of the exercises and lead readers through illustrated instructions on how to get fit.
My lastest book is a humorous guide to putting the fun back in funeral by helping readers plan their final farewells. It's an exercise in self-obsession, it contains a lot of useful information, and best of all, and it'll help you rest in peace, knowing that those you leave behind know exactly what you want. Get planning now! (This book makes a great gift item for milestone birthdays!) Here's a list of my books.
A little over a year ago, plagued by sleep issues, I started making finger drawings on my iPad using Adobe Ideas. I didn't know how to draw people, so I drew animals in various human scenarios. My drawings sometimes reflected my feelings. Other times my animals acted out scenes from movies and soap operas. They also made political commentary and poked fun at common human relationships and foibles. Eventually, I started a blog so I had a place to store all my cartoons and, hopefully, amuse my friends.
Now, thanks to Zazzle, I've started putting my favorite characters (Frog, Duck, Bear, Fennec Fox, Bird, Elephant) on mugs, greeting cards, t-shirts, tote bags, and other gift items. My favorite new product is a Pee Wee Herman messenger bag. Lucky for me (and my customers), Zazzle sells Rickshaw Bagworks' messenger bags. I've been a product tester for more than ten years, and have always found Rickshaw bags to be high quality, ergonomically designed, durable, and stylish.Visit my store » Here are just a few of the fun, unique products in my store, Fancy Productions:
I draw by night, but by day I create compelling web and mobile interfaces and provide writing and editing for a variety of print and digital projects. I've been writing for more than 25 years, and have a background in public relations and marketing.
I've just completed a two-year certificate program in Web Media via the University of San Diego, in which I studied creating web and mobile interfaces, user experience, wireframing and prototyping, content strategy, and more.
I start grad school in Human Centered Design at the University of Washington in September.
I'm available until Oct, when I begin school. If you need a website or a writer, let's chat soon.Get in touch » Take a look at my portfolio at www.schmerika.com.
